The Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act is one of the most sweeping pieces of legislation in our lifetime.  Every business & individual will be impacted by the way this law re-shapes access to medical care and the insurance we use to pay for it.  Employers will experience massive, wholesale changes in how employee benefits are delivered and will face new challenges in creating value by providing them.  Although uncertainty is the mantra-of-the-day, the need to strategically consider the impact of this legislation is imperative.  We will examine the two major timelines, one that occurred last September, 2010 and the game-changing aftershocks of what occurs on January 1, 2014 (just 32 months from now).
