Day 1, Sun., Oct. 30-JFK/Beijing
Check in at JFK International Airport for an afternoon flight.
Your adventure begins as you fly trans-Pacific aboard a wide cabin jetliner.
Day 2, Mon., Oct. 31-Beijing
Arrive in Beijing, the Capital of China at 6:00 p.m. You will be
met by your tour guide and transferred to the hotel after dinner.
Day 3, Tues., Nov. 1-Beijing
Visit the Tian An Men Square, the largest square in the world,
and the Temple of Heaven, built in 1420 A.D., where the emperors
prayed to the heaven for a good harvest. Sightseeing also includes
the Palace Museum, also known as the Forbidden City, home of
24 emperors with a total space of 9,999 rooms, and the Summer Palace,
featuring the Long Corridor with painted gallery, Kunming Lake and
Longevity Hill, Seventeen- Arch Bridge and Marble Boat.
Day 4, Weds., Nov. 2-Beijing
Tour bus excursion to the Great Wall, the 4,000- mile long and
2,000 year old construction is said to be the only man-made structure
visible by the naked eye from the moon. Visit to the Ming Tombs, one of
13 Ming Emperors' Tombs is fully excavated and open for exploration.
Then enjoy a roasted Beijing Duck dinner.
Day 5, Thurs., Nov. 3-Beijing/Shanghai/Suzhou
Fly to Shanghai, then take the tour bus trip to Suzhou. Afternoon sightseeing to the centuries old Lingering Garden, Tiger Hill and Hanshan
Temple. Visit the National Embroidery Instituteto see silk embroidery, an important local craft with 1,000 years history. Enjoy an evening dinner show of traditional Chinese Music.
Day 6, Fri., Nov. 4-Suzhou/Hangzhou
Morning tour bus journey to Hangzhoufor a visit to the Economic
Development Zone. Visit to the centuries old Lingyin Temple, featuring a 64.3 ft-high camphor-wood carved Buddha.
Day 7, Sat., Nov. 5-Hangzhou/Shanghai
Morning boat cruise on West Lakewith relaxing stopover at jewel-like pagodas and tea houses. Afternoon tour bus trip to Shanghai.
Day 8, Sun., Nov 6-Shanghai
Visit to the Yu Garden, a maze of marvelous pavilions, ponds, rocky works and over arching trees. Visit to the Bund, a famous waterfront park. Tour the Pudong Economic Development Zone.
Day 9, Mon., Nov. 7-Shanghai/Beijing/JKF
Morning flight to Beijing. The afternoon flight will depart by 1:00 p.m. for JFK where you will arrive at 1:30 p.m. on the same day.
Visiting the cities of Beijing, Shanghai, Suzhou and Hangshou
Total price $2,049* per person
*Double occupancy required, add $450 for single occupancy.
An upgrade to fly Business Class is $6,000.
Additional tours are available.
A valid passport and Chinese Visa are required. You may obtain your own Visa or you can have the Chamber/Citslinc
handle the application for $160.
A deposit of $200 per person is required (non-refundable) to hold reservations. Balance is due in full by July 25, 2011.
Note: there is a $500 cancellation fee after tickets are
purchased, imposed by the airlines. You may want to consider acquiring travel insurance to cover this potential loss.
