Project Management 101, Part 1:  Getting Your Project Off to a Great Start

Do you find that somehow the ball always gets dropped when you're working on an important project?  Do you often feel disorganized, ineffective and that certain work projects are doomed from the start?  Don't feel bad, many people struggle with these same issues.  How you start a project has a lot to do with whether or not you'll be able to successfully manage and execute it.  Selecting the right project, getting team buy-in, and involving and managing stakeholders are all critical to completing a project on time and on budget.  This workshop is great for anyone who is frequently involved in work projects, or who would just like to be better equipped to manage the occasional project.  This workshop will help you achieve the project results you want with less stress and mayhem!

  • Explore how to select good projects from the start.
  • Learn to run an effective kick-off meeting to get the project underway.
  • Learn some best practices of project management to make sure that all stakeholders are managed effectively throughout the project.
