DESCRIPTION:The event includes a 5k Run/Walk and a One Mile Fun Run/Walk. All proceeds from the event benefit Big Brothers Big Sisters of NWGA Mountains. Along with the race\, a board game drive is held to benefit children within the Big Brothers Big Sisters Buddy Program. Participants and spectators are encouraged to bring a new board game. The games will go in the Buddy Boxes at each local school for the mentor and child to use during match meetings. Registration for the event begins at 4:30 p.m. at City Park Elementary Gymnasium. The one mile begins at 6:00 P.M. followed by the 5K at 7:00 P.M. Awards are given to the overall top male and female finishers in the 5K and top three finishers in each age division. Medals are awarded to all one mile participants ages 14 and under finishers. Corporate Cup awards are presented for the most entrants in the following categories: government\, churches\, schools\, small companies\, and large companies.
