The GDMPO invites you to attend the study's first Community Forum on Thursday\, August 18 from 6:30 PM to 8 PM at 1247 Murray Avenue\, Dalton\, GA.  Attend the meeting to discuss transit issues\, needs\, and priorities and learn about trends affecting communities within the Dalton area.\n\n	 \n\n	For more information\, please call 706-876-2559 or visit www.whitfieldcountyga.com/transitstudy.\n\n	 \n\n	About the study...\nThe Greater Dalton MPO with support from the Georgia Department of Transportation is undertaking the Multimodal Transit Feasibility Study to find ways to improve public transit services in the Greater Dalton area.  Previous transit studies undertaken by the City of Dalton and Northwest Georgia Regional Commission identified a number of potential transit solutions for the Dalton metropolitan area.  This transit study is another step toward addressing and implementing the transportation needs expressed by the citizens of Whitfield County.
