Visit the Spread Line on Hwy 41! The peacocks have landed! And guess what they brought with them? Roomfuls of gorgeous Cabin Craft peacock spreads, a collection of chenille clothing, and interesting memorabilia including delightful stuffed chenille animals, a ?Democratic Donkey? and a chenille Indian. The main floor of the Blunt House is devoted entirely to handmade chenille product: spreads, rugs, runners, dresser scarves, etc. Visitors can learn to tuft (or?truff?) by stamping a pattern, stitching the pattern, clipping it, and then washing it to make chenille items. All this can be experienced every Friday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at 506 Thornton Avenue? The Blunt House?in Dalton, Georgia. For other hours or group tours, please call 706 271-8702 or 706 537-2168.
